I have been
visiting to one of our favourite hangouts with my childhood pal. We have been
sitting on a big rock lying in the middle of clear waters of the river with
legs being dipped in ripples coming by the rock.
We have been
talking about the problems facing in our lives. It is our common belief that we
both have a bunch of the worst people experiences in our lives. When i view her
life, at first glance all i could see was - a lady well settled with a
government job and happy married life. So practically she seems to live one of
the most ideal life. But after listening to her, when i zoomed in her life, i
was able to see the microbes creating problems in her life. While the
conversation was going on, i realized that no one is actually free from the
worries. Yes, may be the intensities are different though. Yet, if we look at
the person, we always feel that they are happier.
When i view
my life, i feel that perhaps I am the only one on whom the blessing clouds have
stopped showering. The point is, unless you know thoroughly about people's
life, you'll always find yourself miserable in their comparison. Moreover,
everyone is struggling hard in one way or other to make one's life better.
One of the
most difficult times arrives when you face the catastrophes which leaves you
completely broken. First it gets tough to face and get adapted to this
adversity. This demands courage to face and accept.
Acceptance -
the fact that people are unable to grasp hardships that they never imagined
would happen to them is mainly due to lack of acceptance.
Many people
are deeply affected by situations whether they are good or bad. There was a
formation of summarized statement from shree bhagwad geeta,
Good and bad
times come and go - keeping a stable state of mind in either of the situations
is the only key to survive happily!
I have
learned that practicing acceptance towards all the hard luck events will
improve the person's attitude towards tough times gradually. And then there
would be a time when the person will reach a state where he could readily
evaluate almost all the circumstances occurring in the life. And when nothing
seems to work, keep repeating one thing in the mind that, "this too shall
pass"!
